Speakers Workshop

LCW Speaker's Bureau

Have you always wanted to get in front on more people? Do you want to see more women on the platforms? It’s time to get to work to train yourself to be the change you wish to see in the world.

This ten week seminar is conducted as a weekly distance learning class culminating in an in-person workshop. The weekly curriculum consists of watching and analyzing TED talks and great short speeches coupled with short weekly assignments. The class meets on a weekly phone call (class) to discuss their insights and progression.

Ultimately, students will be given the assignment to create their own 18 minute (TED talk style) talk and will publicly present and receive loving and constructive feedback on their final output. This track will require a commitment of about 2-3 hours of work per week for students enrolled in the class.

Top students/presenters will be invited to have their final 18 minute presentation featured in an upcoming LCW event as a special series and will be recorded to be featured on the LCW website.

This program is limited to 25 participants. Register to secure your seat today.

Cost: $300 for LCW members

Timing: The ten week course will run from January 2016 to March 2016.

Content: Registrants will have weekly assignments and a weekly class. Weekly “class time” is a one hour (Tuesday at 6:00 PST /9:00 EST) virtual classroom with the instructor and your classmates.

Commitment: Participants should expect to spend an average of 2-3 hours per week for this program.  One hour of “class time” will be spent on the phone call and the remaining time will be spent on assignments related to the topic of the class for that week.

No worries if you cannot be in attendance on the weekly calls.  All the calls are recorded and are emailed to you to listen at your own pace and convenience.

As an extra bonus, you will be added to a private Facebook group designed for you to connect with the instructor and your classmates.

We look forward to sharing this amazing program with you.
